XC90 Diesel - Manual

I've been offered an Ocean Race edition for a very good price, only down side is that it's manual.

The car is a 2005/2006 with 65k. Is the manual really that bad?

As long as your happy with the juggling of the pedals/handbrake on the manual models then it isn't a problem. Is a bit quicker and better on fuel than an auto too!

Nope its fine, I drove one a while back on 24hr test drive.

What I found annoying and rather amusing was the handbrake, it seemed very old hat and a bit odd.

Nice to drive though and whilst not a popular choice didnt make me go - OMG I have to have the auto.

The handbrake sounds odd alright, not too sure if the wife would cope though!

Six months in and our is manual fine. It still annoys because a normal handbrake is simply better, however my wife hates autos and you soon get used to the sequence needed. The rest of the car has been an epic improvement on a LR Discovery 3.

Unfortunately the car was sold last week - £13k which seems like a stonking deal, guy was offered £11k on a trade in so asked his mechanic to ask about. I was too late!

Well said we service/repair 5 manuals they are not very popular
