fitting tyres

i am in the process of building my first r/c car and am having trouble with getting the rear tyre's onto the wheel, i have tryed allsorts of tricks and good ol brute force, but to no avail?
the car is a tamiya hornet and its the rear tyres, any advice or tips are desperately needed and most welcome

Have you tried leaving the tyres in hot water for a while? You could also try a small amount of washing up liquid as a lubricant.

Are they three piece wheels? If so a bit or soapy water helps them slide together.

I had exactly the same problem when I built my hornet just after Christmas. My solution? Bring the wheels in to work and get my boss to do it

Seriously though the way he did was the way the instructions say but with lots of brute force! He is obviously stronger than me.
