What a good idea, it's always been my favourite WW2 plane since building one as a kid.

I believe it's a new tool so should be pretty good - from what I've seen Airfix have really upped their game recently.

Tempted too, I saw the band live several times.

Yes - the new tool Heinkel is quite nice.

Roden have been producing rock/pop band liveried Boeing 720 kits for a few years.

Revell produced an Iron Maiden liveried 747.

Slightly OT, but ISTR (around 1979/80) going to a Motorhead concert at the Oxford Apollo with the Stranglers and Hazel O'Connor as support acts, or am I going completely ga-ga?

Seems an odd (super-cool) line-up but they were different times...

I went to see them on the Bomber tour at the (then) Hammersmith Odeon - the Mecca of all things Heavy Metal.

Awesome tour, and it is strangely wonderful to see someone completely left field recognising their unique brilliance!

The Airfix kit was based on a laser scan of the He111 at Gardermoen (Oslo, Norway) so it's accurate but not *quite* the right version for the He111 on the Bomber cover. Should be a fun build though smile

The museum is well worth a visit if you're passing through Oslo, some very unique aircraft in there and super friendly staff.

Preordered one of these in September (based on this thread!). Mine is stuck in "Preorder" on the Airfix site, just wondering whether anyone has an idea when they are likley to ship (or did I preorder too late and have missed out)?
