I am Looking for some pointers on which compressor to get for airbrushing. I have a cheap compressor now that is struggling to reach 1 bar so time for a new one.

I would like a tank included to dampen out the pulsing I get now. I am using H&S brushes with 0.2 and 0.4mm nozzles. I mainly spray Tamiya acrylic at 1:1 with thinner or Vallejo Model Air from the bottle. I need pressure control to allow fine lines as well as area coverage for gloss and mat clear coats.

This is what I am currently thinking.

I have this compressor and use it with the H and S Ultra. Both were purchased from Tim at Everything Airbrush.

It’s absolutely fine. The pressure setting was quite low out of the box but a quick fiddle with the knob on the moisture trap fixed that.

That's just the standard compressor+tank sold pretty much everywhere. They are absolutely fine. That one is perhaps a little expensive compared to Ebay sellers etc, who often bundle a couple of brushes and hoses in for under £100, but I guess you are paying for the service and any support in the future.

That's the compressor I use, and have had absolutely no problems with it.
