Not picked up a kit for years and have just started a Airfix 1/48 Sea Harrier from eBay as out of production for a while although this is the newer style lighter grey 2012 one.
There is a hole where there shouldn’t be one, waiting in reply from Airfix as it’s obviously a moulding error

Should I try and patch it from inside with plastic card then filler just bin it of no reply from them?

Yellow tape to show it clearly

If it's been out of production for a while they may not have spares so rou may have to filler it. Stick the plasticard on before you join the halves, leaving a bit off plasticard sticking out to overlap and stick inside the other fuselage half. I would use milliput but you may have your own favourite filler.
Is it the light or are those panel lines raised?

Cheers, yeah the lines are raised but probably not for long if I’m filling and sanding next to them !
Can’t see them anywhere near as much with naked eye

Relatively easy fix. Ideally if you have some plastic card, but if not a "plate" of spare plastic inside to block the hole and then build up the crater with more off-cuts to shape. Smooth and sand with filler. You can restore the raised panel line with a thin length of heat-stretched sprue and thin liquid cement.

Or wait for a replacement sprue from Airfix smile

put parcel tape on the outside , smooth in some jb weld on the inside , once its dry peel off the tape and it should be very close to finished

As well all agree, there isn’t anything worse then an unfinished thread so…

It’s scrap, can’t make anything out of that doesn’t look st especially as there is another twist

But, eBay turned up one with a sprue missing, that arrived to day and can make one from the bits (hopefully)

If you still fancy building a Sea Harrier, drop me a DM with your address and I'll happily send you one that is complete and unstarted. I've got quite a few Airfix 1/48 in the stash which have now been superceeded by the Kinetic kits.
