I realise this might not appeal to some of you but I thought it was worth a mention. I've just purchased two complete micro scalextric sets from Modelzone which equates to 5 cars and loads of track, plus a laptimer for.... £65. Modelzone are doing all their micro scalextric sets for half price, my lot should have cost nearly £130!

As my existing normal scalextric is too big for the sitting room floor area, I'd been considering this for a while and at half price you can't really go wrong. So I have 2 Ferrari F430's, 1 Nissan 350Z, 1 Porsche Boxster and 1 Audi TT, plus enough track to make things interesting without taking up all of the sitting room floor space. Other sets they had were 2 Vodafone Mclaren F1 cars and the "Quantum of Solace" DBS and Alfa. Oh for the kids they've got the simpsons skateboard set too. Expect to pay £40 max per set, my Ferrari set was £29.99, and the Street racing (?) set was £34.99 and comes with 3 cars (although you can still only use 2 at a time).

Enjoy! E

P.S. I took the day off for other reasons than going into Modelzone - even I'm not that sad!
