Disagree. The etched chains are sensational in the flesh and far far better than the ones supplied in the kits (which to be fair, are very good anyway). They are far more delicate and react as per the prototype (unsurprisingly, seeing as they are individual link chains). There is some fantastic work being done on these Tamiya bike kits.
I guess it's that age old question and answer;
Why bother adding all that extra detail?
It's my kit and I can, that's what gives me the enjoyment.
The upgraded kit pieces, and the talent to make it all, are brilliant. The plastic kit is £25, what's the cost of the upgraded parts he's got together for that? I found this site that sells the bits, but I got lost after that trying to work out what he had
