Hi Everyone

I was out at a model RC club today, 1st I've been since going with my old man as a nipper. Anyway, a few interesting odds and sods about and I'm heading back tomorrow as, weather permitting, there will be some large scale jets (mustn't forget camera)

So, it's sparked my interest again, Has anyone got any particular recommendations for ARTF or RTF trainers? Last flying experience some indoor flying a small fixed pitch helicopter. Possibly a little park flyer of some sort as I have a load of green space to the rear of my house.

Post some piccies of your own models if you can, the bug has bitten hard!

Have a look at flyingwings.co.uk- they do a range of foam models that are nigh on unbreajable, and as a result, ideal to learn (or re-learn) on.

Other than that, kyosho do the 'minium' range, and although a couple are rudder and elevator only, several are rudder elevator and aileron, and come complete with transmitters, batteries and chargers. They are limited though- too much wind and they struggle.

ALS hobbies do a model called the nemo- a high wing trainer, complete with radio gear, battery and charger. It's an ideal trainer, and about £80.

If you need to buy radio gear, look for planet 2.4- it's about £45 but scans for frequencies so you never get interference.

If you can fly already, parkzone are great- although I would personally avoid the spitfire as it's well out of date now- doesn't use lipo batteries, not a brushless motor etc.

Best of luck- if you can fly and have radio gear, search for fms models P51- huge, and has retractable undercarriage and flaps- a lovely model.
If you fancy making one, look at greenairdesigns.com- superb planes, or look online for gws- they do a range of warplanes that fly really well.

Pm me if you need any advice- on holiday at the moment in Wales so not the best connectivity though!!!
