Hello all,

I've almost completed a 1:48 F-14 in the black playboy colours, I love the model and F-14's in general. Can you get any other 1:48 Tomcats? I remember when I was younger seeing a jolly rogers one but I can't find one anymore.
I'm not after a particular squadron I just want some more to line up on my shelf/maybe do a make shift carrier scene.

TIA
George

Hasegawa and Revell do Tomcats in 1:48 IIRC. I built a Revell Tomcat in Jolly Rogers scheme many years ago (no long gone) not sure what scale it was though.

If it's just different decals you want, do a Google search for "1:48 tomcat f-14 decals" and I'm sure you could spend several hours looking through all the aftermarket decals available.

As for kits the Hasegawa is considered the best in 1/48

There may be a new future release by HobbyBoss.

I( loved the colourful schemes of the 70s but hated the toned doown markings introduced in the early 80s.

Cheers guys, the afterburner one looks really good so I might go with that, might see if I can find the rising sun tail fin one on google as well, you can never have enough F-14's smile

Armour (Franklin Mint) do a few in 1/48 - ready made die cast. I have a few of them.
Maybe a little hard to come by as franklin Mint are no longer doing the series I believe.

fleabay is a start.

what on earth is that vf1-a macross on that page?

all incredible models.

don't suppose anyone's done (from scratch, I assume there are no kits) an S47 Berkut?

Edit; Googled that macross thing, it's a cartoon. Wondered why it looked vaguely Transformery
