This is my favorite all time RC car. I have a brand new built Optima Mid and enough spares to build another new one. Will not be selling though.

Check worldwide ebay too.

The prices vary hugely. Crashed examples can be had for as little as £20. New in box (NIB) around £1000. Decent examples in between from £200 - £500. Or you can buy parts as they crop up and build one that way. This is how I amassed so many brand new parts.

I have a very clean, box art first Optima, a good Turrbo Optima and a restored Optima pro. They aren't fixer uppers but very clean and box art.

Let me know if interested?

that is lovely

wish I still had my ultima but the experiment in making it an "Ultima Mid" wasn't particularly successful...

Those Ultima's pulled wheelies far too easily didn't they!

The evolution to mid mounted motors and belt drive was the real turning point from old school into the modern era.

I remember putting a reedy silver dot in it with something a 15T pinion.

In races at my club the car was like a scalded cat off the start and down the straights...with the wheels pointing anywhere but straight ahead it was like trying to control a greased otter...Admittedly I couldn't drive for st either...
