I started putting this model together yesterday but I just want to check the correct glue to use?

It's going together reasonably well, the only slight issues are the transfers could be better & the wing dihedral could be improved. I'm going to try increasing it when I glue by supporting the ends of the wings but put a little weight in the fuselage, not to much stress, just a little.

Other than that it's not bad.

Edit: I am also going to try weathering its appearance, & add oil streaks & stains from the firing of guns.

If the construction is the same as the Mustang I dont know there the glue is required. I thought the single screw holding the tail on was a bit weak and added some 5min epoxy in the joint. Dont think you can change the dihedral much. Isnt there a 10mm carbon rod through it? Hope you have more success with it than I have had with the Muzzie.Spent more time friggin about with the retracts than anything else. Looks good in the air and flys with authority, but rarely comes home without some repair to the gear required

There is a rod/spar that passes through but looked plastic to me rather than carbon?

The port wing when pushed in as far as it will go moves out a little when released, so leaving quite gap.

Tail is the same, single grub screw, which is why I want to bond these areas for increased strength.
The instructions (what good they are..very minimalist to say the least) shows glue to be used in certain areas, I'm assuming guns, radio mast, exhausts?

Yea forgot about the exhausts and that. I used POR glue to stick the exhaust stubs on dont forget they need trimming first I did and had to maul them off again, with half the paint as well. I think you will find the spar is 10mm hollow carbon rod. Wings on the muzzie fit quite well with no gaps and the screws pull it up fine I think the mistake I made was to strengthen up the retract mounts due to the fact that after the first few landings I expected them to be ripped through the wing, In fairness they werent, but that didnt stop me from additional carbon fiber and hardwood bearers cut into the foam this had the effect of reducing the amout of "give" in the structure causing the legs to bend or break on every landing. Upgrading to the larger HK legs helped a lot but its still one of those planes that you dont relax till its safely down again

Thats a big model. What scale is it & where is it going to live once completed? Looks good.

Certainly is big, approx 55" span so will probably hang in my garage.
I'm enjoying the build & fiddle to bring up to my standards. It's good as is but I just like a bit more realism...less shiny wink
