Evening Everyone

Over the years I have made a fair few cars and planes but never a bike. I was driving past my LMS today and thought I would pop in and have a look round. I spotted the Tamiya motorbike kits and fancied one to build. I decided on the 916 as I am looking at buying a 748 in the not too distant future and there identical biggrin

I didnt buy all the paint from my LMS because there bloody expensive! Although having just bought it online it still cost me over £40!

I will update with pics once I start building it biggrin

Cheers

i built 2 of these many years ago. a pretty nice and easy kit to use too if memory serves.

did one standard and the other one as a Foggy WSB replica. roadbike turned out better than the WSB one frown

Nice, I'll keep an eye on this thread - I assume you are doing a build thread?

This is how far i managed to get in 3 hours lol! Very slow progress I'm sure you will agree, but I think it looks pretty good so I dont mind how long it took. Plus I have to keep stopping every five minutes to wipe the blood off my face where my nose starts dripping!

I will continue tomorrow ;D

Got this stashed away for a rainy day - and a rider to go with it.

Looking good so far, all brush painted?

Have you glued the rear sprocket on already? If so you have angled it too high. I made that mistake myself this weekend! the top of the chain need to be very close to the swingarm, otherwise the small sprocket is difficult to line up.

Quite interesting how we both make the same kit at the same time...

ETA: Oh and make sure the put the handle bars the right way up, I didn't realise I had mine upside down until the forks were completed! Might just be me being a numpty though.
