Right i have bought a 1/43rd scale CTR in silver but i need to change it to Bronze pearl ,
Advice on how to do this and have a good finish would be deeply appreciated. I was thinking
Of masking off and spraying the correct colour looks a fiddly job . Questions are once masked
Will i need to key the areas to be painted ,what is the best masking tape, will i need to prime
or just paint top coat ,will a halfords matched spray paint be okay to use and will a clear lacquer
be needed for a final coat. Cheers in advance Tom.

Full size metallics spray will look crap on a 1:43 car. I had this problem with a Honda S2000 recently.

Zero paints are commonly reccomended since they allegedly have 'scaled' metallic flakes. I found then rubbish, but others swear by them.
Best masking tape is Tamiya, but the best way would be to dismantle the car, strip the paint completely and start again. Use a metal primer spray (halfords) and flat it down before applying top coats (flatted between coats) and possibly a lacquer, then polish with T-cut. No idea what top coat you'd use though.
Good Luck - you've chosen a difficult job!
