Saw this set advertised in the local post office and couldn't resist.

Bloody hell the detail on the cars is a bit different to when I used to upset the cat with Capris and JPS Lotuses.

Excuse the crap 'phone pic.

£15 - really?

That's good value if only for the sum of the bits. Or do you mean second hand?

Those New Mini Scalextric cars corner on rails, way better than the lame porsches that my bro's set came with. Trouble is they look so cool I ended up getting a real one...

So far from my collection I've found the impact resistant Audi TT best road holding. The Maserati MC12 by far the worst!

The old tt's and boxsters are great. Mc12 needs some decent tyres, sand them or get some new ones and it's a decent car.

Best cars for lap times are the lmp cars, personally I find the gt40's the most fun.

Actually I do have a Revell Imp, and it's pretty good now I think about it!

Thanks for the tip on tyres for the MC12. It's a long car and just appears to have rear wheel steering! hehe

My fastest car is one of my old SRS 956's but it never gets used as I've got it so well sorted that short of hairpin bends it's flat everywhere so not much fun.

The Nico cars I bought a few years back are the worst by a long way.

If we are talking straight line speed (not that I drag race mine hehe)

The Porsche GT3 RS is the top.
