Mould making kit

I want to make a mould which I can then cover in fibre glass to make an airbox.

What material do you use for this sort of purpose and where can I get it?

I have looked at styrofoam but for the size I need (roughly 300mm long, 100mm wide and 100mm high) is very expensive

You'd use the foam (or whatever) to start the "buck" from the buck you make the mould and the part from the mould

Search "Fibreglass manufacture methods" or similar

I would use something like builders insulation celotex for instance, you could pick an offcut that size up for nothing (I've got a load in my garage if you're anywhere near West Sussex)
