HPI Savage 4.6 SS
Discussion
You tried Apex Models in Crowthorne? They have an online store which might list it there but I'm pretty certain I saw something very similar to that model in their display section just over a week ago. It might not have been the SS edition but it was definitely something along those lines.
Funnily enough, I have one that I'm thinking of selling. It's been well used and needs a new brake pad though. I'd fit it but I have absolutely no idea how to do it and I haven't had the time to find someone to do it for me (hence thinking of selling it).
I used to belong to a local club but work levels mean I just don't have the time to devote to it anymore.

Happy to get some pictures up but I'm not home until the weekend due to work.
I loved it. Very fun and very sturdy indeed. The brake broke because I forgot the cardinal rule of letting go of the throttle whilst the car was in the air meaning when it landed it tried to engage the brake and stripped the disc. Apart from that it was very sturdy indeed and nothing has needed replacing although I have upgraded a few bits and pieces just because I could.
The huge wheels and 4.6 engine meant it could tackle even tall grass with ease and I never had any issues with mud or water as I always cleaned it after use.
I ran it on Byron's fuel which was widely regarded at my club as being very good indeed with excellent levels of lubrication. I could get a good ten/twelve minutes out of a tank before it needed refuelling.
Definitely a very fun MT.
