Eric, the background with the moon is just a photograph. The forground is made up using ready mixed tile grout for the base and scenic water for the wet bits, plus a some twigs from a nearby park.
Thanks Rhinochopig, no I use artists acylics, although in much the same way as oils, just that they dry a lot quicker.
Perdu, thanks very much. Hmm! wonder what the answer would be IF I did ask my girlfriend to pose for something like this? I probably wouldn't be on PH for a while as I recuperated in hospital.
