Model King no fly
Discussion
I was given a model king co-axial helicopter for Christmas, it flew a few times but hasn't worked since.

I have tried charging it and also took the fuselage off to see whether any wires had come loose but no fault found. When switched on the LEDs illuminate but that is all - any suggestions for likely fault?

Did you leave it quite a long time before using it again? The lipo might be knackered due to dropping below its safe voltage.
If you are handy with a soldering iron you can probably pick up a replacement battery for a fiver and put it in quite easily.
I had wondered that...I am handy with a soldering iron so will look for a replacement battery - any suggestions for a good supplier? If you are handy with a soldering iron you can probably pick up a replacement battery for a fiver and put it in quite easily.

If you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for delivery www.hobbyking.com or check ebay for UK stock and see if you can get anything a bit faster. What you usually have to do on this type of helicopter is remove the little circuit board that is soldered to the battery (directly on top of the battery not separate) as this controls the charge/discharge cut off. Then solder it to your new one and stick it in the helicopter.
