Monogram 58 Thunderbird
Discussion
My in laws live in Canada and managed to pick me up some started models from a garage sale. As they knew the person selling them they got them for free, unfortunately it was going to cost them $150 to ship them over here. Whilst visiting at Christmas I managed to bring them home with me.
I decided to start on the Monogram 58 Thunderbird as this seemed to be the one that had been worked on least.

I soon realised that the instructions were missing, Revell USA and Monogram have copies of all their instructions online so that wasn't an issue for long. The next thing I noticed was that a lot of pieces had been removed from the sprue.

It looks like there are a few pieces missing in particular the back axle and all the wheels and tyres. I may have to raid a couple of the other kits and see what I can find. A bigger problem is the windscreen has been broken in two. Not sure if I will be able to fix this.

I have made a start with some paint on the body, it is Zero Candy Green over a Humbrol Copper Metallic.

Hopefully I can work around the problems and will try and keep this thread updated.
