offroad RC Buggy/Truck fun car?
Discussion
fancy spending my post shoulder surgery building a rc car as I cant drive a real one!
Joined oople.com but its like being a monk and sent here for driving lessons. Just too much info and specs of cars etc.
So a decent strong SH tuggy that will last more than 10 min playing off road in a forest on the beach etc? Second Hard preferred to build up and save costs unless the annsman x2sc for 79 is just as good as anything to get and add esc lipo motor etc.

The Slash and Slash 4x4 are "proper" hobby grade RC with good parts availability and very upgradeable. Amongst the short course truck racing guys the Slash is seen as more of a basher than a racer, yet box stock they have competed pretty well, whatever anyone says about the "interesting" handling. I realise the CofG is a bit high but I've found the handling is very tunable. They're a great, well put together piece of kit and the most fun I've had with an RC car. In a year all I've replaced are A-arms ("oops, tree") and the bearing that holds the centre diff/clutch which is a known weak spot. And it gets a couple of batteries through it every week. Its currently sat needing a new speed controller. Don't know what caused that but they're not the best and not cheap to replace with the stock VXL-3S, but for the amount of fun it will be sorted soon ready for the better weather.
