What were this?
Discussion
I was in Majorca a few weeks ago, there was a chap flying an RC plane that looked mega. It was roughly Vulcan shaped, with twin tail fins, appeared to be made of foam with a propeller at the back to push it along and looked pretty capable. Was about 2.5 foot wingspan. It was being flown very fast and could climb rapidly to what I would guess to be a couple of hundred feet, was very impressive! Looked easy to fly, but could have just been a very skilled pilot.
So, what was it? Are they easy to learn to fly and what's the best one to buy?
Cheers

Could have ben a Parkzone Stryker?
The new version moves along quite nicely.
They also do a mini version (which i am buying to ship over here to dubai).
To learn on I would say visit flyingwings.co.uk, they have a thing called a v trainer which is a lovely thing to learn with and is almost indestructable!!

OOh, I feel a PH Dubai RC flying meet coming on....
I buy from banana hobby or hobby king and use shop&ship. Hobby king have some good wings but, if you are a beginner, go for a small 2/3 channel or you are just buying pieces of foam that are currently connected together....
I have many pieces of planes to prove this..

I used to fly out on the Bab-al-Shams road, second R/A after crossing the Bypass road there is a left turn and a strip of unused road to nowhere. A few ppl sometimes turn up walking dogs or with R/C cars etc.
Lately by Meydan, where the sub-continentals play clicket on a Friday, loads of roads made and not used.
With hand-launch, the desert is your best bet.
And Hobby King is the best place to buy, or Dragon Mart has some EDF jets...
