I felt like getting back into my RC car with a whole new body style. So I've bought this:

Will be an interesting project to keep me busy over the next few weeks (months?).

Gonna need hugely offset wheels or extend the shafts.

That 1:10 shell would be too small, though he does larger scale Landy shells as well.

I think I've got those TG10 axles on that crawler, they were recommended in an old RCCA article by Kevin Hetmanski. Some 6mm offset HPI Vintage wheels would be pretty cool as well.

I'm not too sure what to do with the grill yet.
Some of the parts like the crash guards I will try and do with 3D printing.

Tomorrow I shall paint the wheel arches.
In the mean time does anyone know of a company that prints custom vinyl stickers?

I thought 3D Printing the crash guards would have been a good idea. but $62. not sure if worth it. http://www.shapeways.com/model/606282/1-10-wildcat...

The arches need some trimming.

The rear track is now a few mm wider. it makes it look that little bit better.
Just need to find some rally raid style wheels.

HPI Vintage, whichever has the biggest offset. Don't think you'll get offroad tyres for them though.

Subaru Brat tyres and Mini/M-chassis wheels?

The Maxxis Trepador tyres look the part.

but would be hard to find any wheels that come close to the ones Bowler use.
