Models of Yesteryear.
Discussion
Hi Guys.
I have a large collection of Models of Yesteryear cars from the late 1970's up to approx 1985 that I collected in my teens. All of them are mint and boxed, some have never been out of the boxes. They are
mainly vans/commercial vehicles and some are apparantly quite rare, such as Liptons Tea, Chocolate Mennier
and two display boxes showing a tram and traction engine as complete models and exploded views.
Basicly, before I start trailing in internet and EBay, are they worth anything and if they are, does
anyone know of a specialist who would buy these items.
As always, thanks for all yur help.

This company offers valuations: http://www.vectis.co.uk/Page/ToyFairs.aspx they might be able to give you an idea.
I think you may be disappointed in the valuations. I was thinking the same, and checked a few years ago. I think the Internet has killed off the market and the "rare" factor. Collectors can just find what they want with the click of a mouse these days. Good luck, and if you are pleasantly surprised, report back and I might have a rethink!

According to this. Certain models can fetch very good money, but others are not worth much.
