25 years since I last played with the stuff, it's time to buy and build myself, ahem, my kids the monster set I always wanted!

Things look to have changed somewhat! Micro/Digital/etc/etc.

Looking at the scalextic website you can even download a 3D track designer!

Anyone know the best type of stuff to buy these days? What's digital? It looks like you can have more than one car on each track?

Thanks in advance!

Costco had a digital set on display the other day. Been toying with the idea myself - pick it up, play for a while, grow up and take it back. Quids in!

Digital means you control the actual car itself rather than the power to the rail it runs on, so yes, multiple cars per rail.

The same goes for Hornbey these days too.
