So you buy a compete box and decide it's not long enough so you buy more track, is there a point where you need more than 1 transformer?
Thanks...

ideally you always want 2 transformers anyway, one for each lane, otherwise you get power surge in the other car when you lift off.

Are you talking classic or digital? The new set up with 6 car advance powerbase uses two power supplies and doesn't cause any power loss issues. I've got 120ft with sections of 4/5 lanes with 10 lane changers but have no issues with power loss.

Hmmm, me too. I miss my old UR Quattro with the headlights and rubber band 4WD!

Digital Scalextric?! Sounds interesting!

I think everyone can agree that we need pictures.

I had a build thread in the models forum but cant seem to find it. I had planned on spending about a year doing mine but its been just over a year and nowhere near complete but plans have changed about 50 times.

Built the frame

Covered in poker cloth and black cloth to cover the underneath.

Getting organised

Layout just about finished

Back straight and pit lane

Bit of scenery

Still loads to do though!!!

wow nice setup

Me and my brother got some one christmas, we managed to play on it for about an hour, before getting kicked off so the grown-ups could play on it.

Nice set up, I'm hoping to do something similar in the loft over the next few years for Junior MRT,

Scalextric Digital Pro GT 1:32 Scale Race Set C1260, is the kit in question. Want to double its length, looking at yours I assume I should have no issues...... smile

I was thinking that myself! I'm sure he's questioning my manliness??
There is a gap between the two chimney breasts where one person would stand and I have a mobility grabber which is magnetic.

Have you already bought the set? Russ Rowe is on PH and he runs Jadlam racing. He does discount prices that are already a load cheaper then usual places.
Failing that you could buy an advanced set from eBay then do what I did an trawl for newish track. Brand new you're looking at atleast £4 a straight, I was buying 15-20 pieces for £20 delivered.

If there's anything you're not sure about message me and I'll help where I can. You'll need power taps and a few other bits to make sure you get even power around the track.
