The yellow is Halfords car paint over Halfors Yellow Primer, and the gloss clear coat is Tamiya TS-13, then Tamiya Polishing compound, then "Final Detail" wax. It'd taken me about 16 or 17 cars built before I learned this technique. The others were varying levels of gloss and semi-gloss.

I used the TS-13 clear on my XJR-9LM, but I couldn't find any of the Tamiya polishing compound so I used t-cut followed by Autoglym. it worked OK.I also used Tamiya Spray (TS) gloss White and gloss Purple decanted into my airbrush through a straw and it went on beautifully with virtually orange peel. Also has the advantage of being perfectly thinned.
