I'm thinking about starting rocketry, just wondering if anyone has any prior knowledge of them, or is currently doing it as a hobby?

Cheers, i asked them and they laughed at me adding that no, 12 500g rockets are not sufficient to launch an adult male into Low Earth Orbit, even if you ditch the life support..

There was an article in New Scientist a long time ago, about one of those nutters who built rockets in sheds(the proper kind that you need to tell a grown-up about before firing and can get most of the way to space); he mixed his own fuel out of liquid oxygen and polyester resin. Mad as a sack of badgers. I've got a copy of the article somewhere, I'll have a look for it.
