Not posted any pictures of completed models for a while. I was waiting for my club to post up their pictures of the models as they do a better photo job than I do.
Here's my Airfix 1/72 Spitfire XIX. I really enjoyed building the kit. Yes, the panel lines are too deep but it went together really well with minimal filler and looks like a Spitfire. I also made an Academy Mk XIV at the same time but was so disappointed with the look of the finished result that I won't be showing it anywhere.

The other kit I built was a 1/72 model of a very early anti-aircraft missile called the Wasserfall C-2. Designed in the later stages of WW2, it was never used operationally. The kit is by a new company called Bren-Gun and, although a "limited run" product, went together really well.

The rear fuselage and wing root fillets are not correct.
Also, I had problems with the decals - which might have been my own fault.
Generally, I don't have issues with "transfers" so I doubt it.
Seen in isolation, the Academy kit looks OK. It's only when seen in conjunction with a properly proprtioned Spitfire that the problems become apparent.
The ancient FROG MkXIV is better shape-wise.
