I collect die cast, mainly 1:43rd scale Italian cars. If I own or have owned a car, I buy the 1:18th version too.

Aside from Italian stuff, I also love James Bond and Classic MG's.

Some poor pics attached (iPhone but the lighting in that room is awful) but you get the ideasmile

Cheers,

Simon

Nice collection.

Where did you get the display cases from and if you don't mind me asking, can you remember how much they were?

Thanks. The long thin one was an ikea special. The other two are custom made by a company in Dudley called Picture Pride. In excess of £300 each some years back but brilliantly made & dust proof smile

Picture 3, bottom left. Played with that and the two cars it came with to death when i were a lad. Seem to remember there was a 'lounge/workshop' in the front of the trailer...

Nice collection . smile

Tough question. My €110 Alfa 4C or the Zonda I bought at a Pagani factory visit in 2006.

Got an invoice from Pagani saying I bought a Zonda off them. No where does it mention 1:43rd. Only the €60 price tag gives it away....lol

Mr Pagani even gave a brochure worth €100. He was a nice chap smile

I'm really liking that Ikea cabinet, how many (1:18 scale) cars can you comfortably fit on each shelf? How much was the cabinet?

Just one per shelf. They stopped doing it but they are still on eBay. C£50.

My main gripe is they aren't dust proof frown

Have you tried something like this around the door frame.

I had the same problem with a similar unit and it made a big difference.

I also added a couple of small catches to "pull" the door tight onto the strip.

Yes. Up the loft. My wife ensures that all cars are recorded on a spreadsheet too as I'm prone to buying duplicates...lol

Today's addition - 1:18 scale Hotwheels Elite Ferrari California. Nice model, soft touch leatherette seats, carpeted interior & boot.

18 times smaller than the one I played with in Maranello last May though.......

Cheers,

Simon
