What RC car, buggy, truck etc
Discussion
I'm after some advice on a first decent radio control car for my son and I to have a play with. Been looking at Tamiya lunchboxs etc but wondered what else would be worth looking at.
Must be off road based as will spend 90% of its time on grass etc and electic power.
Spares and upgrades need to be easy to get hold of as I'm sure it will have a hard life.
Not fussy if second hand as I don't want to spend a lot.

You've already posted the correct answer!
The lunchbox is great- I always wanted one when they were first released, but never had one.
My son is now 7, I bought him one when he was erm, about a week old.
They are fairly basic, but great fun, easy to get parts should you manage to break anything, and-for me, from a nostalgia point of view-nothing else comes close.
My second son is actually due TODAY, I'm in Australia for a couple of months, and am currently looking at the Subaru brat for him (very specific from inside the womb he is). It's either that or the Porsche 934 or 935, but it's obvious he needs one.
If you get a lunchbox, do get some of the chrome effect wheels- they look far better, there is a photo of mine on here somewhere........
