Can't trim steering.....

I've just finished building (well, still need to do the body shell but everything else is done) a Tamiya Bullhead. I ordered it from Modelsport with a Carson Reflex Wheel Pro2 LCD controller and the damn thing doesn't seem to want to let me trim the steering. Throttle trim works fine, but the steering trim, while the numbers are changing on the controller, the servo does sweet FA and stays put. It's unbelievably annoying. Please tell me I'm doing something stupid and there's an easy fix, I really don't want to have to send the controller back

Make sure you are adjusting trim not dual rate or end point

Done that before, not on a carson though
