Hi guys,
I have the task of getting rid of a late person's possession and would like a little help in valuing them or finding a possible buyer.

The lathe and milling machine both work and have bits, tooling etc
The hurricane has a 1m wingspan and is a scratch build.

All help is gratefully received and thankyou in advance.

Hello,

The lathe is a Myford ML7, and it's got a clutch, which is good to have. It's actually identical to mine, and I paid £540 for it 6 years ago. Obviously very difficult to tell the condition of the ways and bearings from photos, but there you go. Do a completed listings search on EBay for current prices - these lathes are very popular and good quality - spares are still available.

I'd be interested in the milling machine - no idea what make it is, nor how much it's worth, but I'd make an offer depending upon location?

I doubt the model Hurricane is worth much at all.

Hope this helps a bit.

ETA I think that might be a genuine Myford lathe stand too, which will increase the value of the lathe.

Thanks dr_gn. That's good news. I'll pass on the info and investigate further.

No problem.

I'm not interested in the milling machine then - too far away. Cheers.
