I just broke mine out of retirement for a spin round a friend's garden.


Such an awesome piece of kit. The thumping of the rotors as they spin up just terrifies me. Puts a huge smile on my face and a lot of adrenaline in my bloodstream.

This is going to cost me a lot of time & money!

Anyone else fly? I'm in Enfield so I may go to a club some time soon. Any recommendations?

If a 450 terrifies you, I suggest not ever trying a 600 or 700!!

In Enfield also. I often see small groups flying planes (mostly) and occasionally helicopters on the park off Sketty/Ladysmith road.

I tend to avoid parks after a very uncomfortable incident with some brain-dead who decided it'd be ideal entertainment to let his dog chase after a model of mine.

Took a lot of shouting to point out that it wouldn't be me in mourning if the animal and model did come together...
