Raced Tamiya Minis and dabbled with Touring cars in the past. Now I'm running a Supastox and a just brought a Durango DEX210.

The DEX210 drives pretty well out of the box. Great value for money.

Used to race nitro touring cars years ago, makes me feel quite old now at 25.
Loved it, but it became very, very expensive to remain at the top, I was Irish pullstart champion at one point.
Would love to go back to it, but for me now as a young family man, I simply can't justify the costs frown

Used to race 1/10th electric touring cars years ago, almost a year ago I got back into racing the GT12 class, now I'm racing 1/12th and enjoying it more than ever.

I'd love to get back into 12ths but don't think there's anywhere near me doing any.

I do. This is a video of me racing my touring car at Eastbourne recently. It's an ARC R10 2013. I'm the white car that goes off from pole:

I started racing 1/10th a few months back with a Losi 22 at Surrey and Hants, really enjoying it more than I thought I would. I normally bash with 1/8th so it's very different running a 1/10th on astro.

Am currently thinking about racing a Supastox for some winter indoor action.

I raced 10th Touring Cars and dabbled a little with 12th until a couple of years ago.

Bit random really as last night i started looking into racing again just bashing at the local clubs. Was thinking about GT12 but apparently the local club doesnt have many of them so probably give 12th a go again. Not my first choice tbh but at least i no im going to get some good racing.

Need to see if i can fit a lipo in my car so i dont have to buy a new one.

It's likely you have an older T-Bar car which won't take Lipo's.
Better off picking up a second hand link based 12th.

anybody racing around the south coast? wouldn't mind going to a meeting, not sure how healthy that will be for my wallet though.

Raced years ago, gave it up when I discovered beer and girls, took it back up again a couple of years ago and now race every Friday at www.caldicotrcracers.co.uk (which I also help run!)

I run a Durango DEX210, DEST210, Carisma GTB and RC10 in our vintage series that's just about to kick off again. smile

Have a look on BRCA website will give you a list of clubs that are local to you. That's the best way to get started.
