I've got the coffee cup one (not sure it's a Bohm but virtually identical). The more complex ones are amazing value for money when you consider the quality.

That looks rather nice (lovely bit of engineering) wonder if you could run a small RC model on one a boat perhaps?

Defblade, do you mind if I ask where it was bought from ?
I want to get one for my mates birthday at the end of Jan, but would prefer to buy from a Bricks and Mortar store so I can check it out rather than order from a website.

Looks amazing, I bet you very happy.

Cheers

Andy :-)

Bought from that website.

However...

...arghhhh! One screw missing madmadmad

They have already replied to the email though to ask for our address to send out the missing bit, so good customer service so far!

I could build it up and leave the one out (one of four holding the cooling chamber to the frame), but the instructions are so firm on everything being lined up correctly and only barely lubed etc that I'd worry it wouldn't sit quite square without (not to mention the vibes when it's running). Anyway, I'm a grown up and can wait (that may be a lie...)

In the meantime, here's some nice stuff (dust will be eradicated before assembly...):

Most of the bits:

Flywheels (may get polished more before fitting):

Crankshaft (comes assembled, with strict warnings against fiddling as you'll never get it back straight/right):

Cooling chamber with one piston visible at the top and con-rod facing:

And from the other side, bore for the expansion piston; you can't quite see the samll hole that lets the air up into the top cooling chamber at the far end of the bore. There will be a piston attached to the threaded end of the con-rod:

Why did you have to go and post this? It's not like I need something like this, but now I've seen them I really want one (or maybe more). Pointless, frivolous maybe, but what fun.

Nobody 'needs' something like this. It's just pure, selfish want. Lots and lots of want! And yes I want one too! biggrin
