1:24 Eaton Yale MkII Escort
Discussion
Hi,
My first time posting pictures of a model I've built on here, so please be gentle!!
I used to build models years and years ago and bought this MkII Escort kit off eBay to try and get back into the hobby. I know it's a world away in standard from the stuff some of you guys build on here, however I think it's come out ok. If anyone has any tips on how to improve they'd be gratefully received. All painting was done by hand as I don't have an airbrush.
Pictures below:

I know the rear lights are missing - I still need to buy the correct colour paints to do them!!

Looks great - Humbrol did one in the '80's I think, now possibly re-boxed bt Revell.
I think the ESCI kit was transparent, not suer if they're all related somehow.
Yes, I've got the transparent ESCI kit in my 'to do' pile.....it's pretty pap to be honest though. Identical to the Revell kit apart from the body.I think the ESCI kit was transparent, not suer if they're all related somehow.
You asked for some tips, well on the Escort I'd touch in the door handles and rear arch bash guards in black and then the wheel nuts in gunmetal. On your next build when confidence has grown a bit try adding the screen rubbers and frames in black too, do this before decalling and assembly though.
