Son's bought me the kit for Christmas. I think he is over estimating my skill, (and patience!!).

I built a tamiya brabham bt44 as a kid in the mid 70s which inevitably disintegrated. I sourced another original release about 18 years ago and spent about a month building it at a moderate level and it turned out okay. These kits can be taken to ridiculous levels of detail but I don't have the skills or patience for that.

I built mine a few years ago. Dont be concearned too much, the instructions are great. The quality and finish of the parts are very good.Has twin rack and pinion steering that works.
The finished model looks great. A unusual 6 wheel model of a car that was eventually banned from racing
I added details like wiring , brake pipes and jubilee clips
I have some photos somewhere at the stages i did. PM me if you want the file i will take a look at the quality of the pictures, if there any good ill forward them on to you. Cheers

Sorry all, It's headed back to the Rain Forest. Might look at a Minichamps or Similar.

It wasn't banned, it just became too uncompetitive. FIA did eventually ban cars with more than four wheels a few years later.

GoodYear wouldn't produce the latest tyres in the right size if I remember. Left it off the pace.
