Anyone build them? I picked one up at the garden centre awhile ago and whilst I'm completely cack-handed it's a nice, calm way to spend a couple of hours and hopefully the end result will be worth it.

And hopeufly I'll end up with a (working) one of these https://rokr.robotime.com/product/rokr-marble-park...

I was gifted the clockwork steam locomotive a year or two ago, managed to build it over a couple of evenings. Great fun to build and operate once sorted (see next para), some of the small parts are fiddly and need to be persuaded out of the sheet with care.

There was some fine adjustment required to parts of the drive gear mechanism to encourage a better mesh. That was tricky as the disassembly and reassembly did put a bit of stress on some parts that wouldn’t have coped with much more disturbance, a couple of bits did splint and needed a spot of glue to save them.

Good luck! The marble run looks fantastic, and the website even offers troubleshooting smash

Yup, broken a few splints already but there seem to be plenty spare. I'm sure we'll need a few adjustments at the end but the OH has built the gears and they are running super smoothly so no doubt it'll be my bodged bits that need fettling smile

In a similar vein, I've built several Timberkits musicians including this one - https://www.timberkits.com/shop/view/16-All-Produc...

Some of the kits benefit from 'selective assembly', or a pre-glue trial to optimise stuff like running clearances and the timing of the movements to make them realistic.

A very pleasant way to spend some free time during the dark nights!

I have built 2.
A 1930s type racing car and a marble roller coaster thing.
Really enjoyed them both, quality is very pleasing.

My son has 2 of their elastic band guns, the shotgun and revolver, they are really fun to build and work very well,
