Hornby is selling Scalextric

Scalextric is being sold for £20 million, which will undoubtedly be a useful cash injection for Hornby (and help to pay off some of its debts).

It's not a complete separation though, because "Scalextric’s operations will continue to be supported within Hornby’s existing infrastructure. Hornby will manage the Scalextric business as agent..."

And they aren't getting the £20 million up front - it's a set of staged payments over a few years.

Hornby needs to reduce its debt burden so this is one way of doing it.
