Bought a load of old Scalextric track which needs the metal runners cleaning of the tarnish that has built up. I was recommended using decorators sponges - has anyone else done this and had decent results? If no good, what's a better way of doing it?
Is the tarnish so bad that the cars won't run? If not, the best abrasive is the contact braids under the cars - build a track and race on it for ages and the rails will polish up.
