44 today, thinking I'll get the usual 'dad' presents - socks, jumpers etc..But no! What do I find when I unwrap the huge present? Only an Airfix 1:24 scale Mosquito kit!

No that's what I call a proper birthday present!

Excellent. The Mossie is a great kit, just mind you don't miss any of the ejector pin marks. I would normally recommend Paragons resin updates for this kit, but a modeller of your talent probably won't need them.

Not sure when I'll be able to start it, though; just moved house (and back in the UK), and trying to work and sort out an unloved repo will take most of our time..

When I get time, I may do some photo etched parts for the kit, if they're needed....
