I have had the car 8 months now, and it is approaching 3000 miles on the odometer.
It is on a 2 year lease, I don’t own the car, but I will get it serviced, lease company pays road tax.
Lease cost is £240 per month, but 1st payment was 12 months; in effect, over the 2 years it works out as £350 per month; which I think is reasonable for a 7 seater which is very refined and comfortable.
First thing which took getting used to was lack of buttons, previous car was 2012 BMW 5 series festooned with buttons, but I think it took a week or so to get used to the touch screens; I don’t find them too distracting now,
At 70mph on the motorway, it is very quiet, there is some tyre roar and not too much wind noise, even though it does not have double glazing or acoustic glass.
Charging: I don’t have home charger, but I get all my charging done at work, free via BP Pulse. In 3000 miles, I only used public charger once, on a 400 mile round trip to Manchester. I am averaging around 3.5 miles per kWh. Low 3s in winter, high 3s in summer. Car will easily get 240-260 miles from full charge in summer; 220 miles in freezing winter.
No paper, physical hand-book was very frustrating………annoying at first, but now getting used to accessing it from the touch-screen ,
Was considering a Mercedes EQB, also an electric 7-seater, but found this very tight at the back; I am 5’9’’ and have an 11 and 13 year old; it accommodated 7 on a 2 hour trip recently with ample room for all. If you’re 6’ plus with tall family, try before you buy.
Styling is great front and rear. Interior is a lovely place to spend time.
