Top strut bearing? Dry anti roll bar bush... or if its a nocking creak then could be a cv joint wearing out when the wheels turned and on hard lock.

Christ my 172 made some awful bloody noises from the front. There can be quite a bit of play in the top mounts which manifests itself as all sorts of alarming noises.
There are numerous mods, though my mine was to sell it and buy a 2.4 Accord....

Creaking noises when turning almost full lock will 9/10 on a 182 be top strut bearings.

Very common fault. 90% of owners live with it tbh.

Had the same problem on my wifes Scenic. Top strut bearing on that is plastic and I guess it gets full of rubbish and jams. Bearing is only £20 and takes an hour to change.

You will need a spring compressor to change it and unless you are 100% confident in what you are doing don't attempt the job as a spring in the face could kill you.

If I remember you can by a metal top strut washer from ktec to help this issue, it's quite a common fault
