abs ring

hi i am fitting new rear discs on my 172, does anyone no if the abs ring should be fixed on the disc or should it be able to spin around when its on the disc?

Fixed, you can buy these discs already fitted with the abs ring and bearing and when I last got some, genuine Renault ones were cheaper than factor ones.

New rear discs should come complete with the abs ring fitted.

Sounds like you have non-ABS discs. Take them back and get some ABS ones.

Most pattern discs come without the abs rings and bearings, so you have to transfer them.

You can buy pattern discs with the bearings and abs rings fitted, but they are usually more expensive than the genuine Renault item (which come with them fitted).
