Clio Mk2 Dipstick

I'm not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but it seemed the most likely...
I was wondering if anybody knew where I can buy a new dipstick for my clio (mine has snapped)

I got a new one, I think the old one may be stuck inside (I can't get the new one in properly) how could I check/get it out?

Depending how far it's broken down in the tube, you may be able to see it with a torch.

If not, you'll have to take the dip-stick pipe off and push it out from the bottom.

Is this a difficult job to fo myself? How long would it take? Would I be better off taking it to a garage?

Which engine is it, assuming its the yellow plastic type?

It's a 1.2 8v. yeah the old one was a yellow plastic one, but the one the delaer sold me is black...

you will need to remove the dipstick tube more than likely. unless you can get the remains out by using a small screw and a small slide hammer but tbh your better off removing the dipstick tube

Have a look.

There is plenty of room on the little 1.2's, the tube should be held in with 1x 10mm bolt somewhere. Just grab a torch and have a look down the shaft of the tube and see where it's secured in...I think it may be bolted into the Water Pump.

Once the bolt is un-done, you'll need to wriggle it quite hard to get the tube to come out. If you had Lego as a kid you'll be fine...
