id go for C2 but im biased, to be honest i think either one is a good car to learn. ive never had any issues with my car and it has been great so far but sadly i cant speak about the C1, fuel is average doing 45mpg in the 1.1 and the best ive ever had was just over 50mpg on a long motorway journey (just over 100 miles) and the build quality isnt really too bad, some things dont fit perfectly but it still feels an ok place to be. smile

C2. Don't really like either, but the C2 is easily a better all round car (though something bigger than a 1.1 is needed.....1.4HDi was pretty good).

C1 was hateful to drive, sit in and behold. Only easy thing was changing a water pump, which is just as well because they fail all the time I'm told!

C1 is a bit of a tin bucket on wheels, but cheap as chips. I suppose it's good fun and would be the best buy if you reckon you'll break a few things, have the odd scrape etc

No experience of a C2, but as it's a supermini I'd hope it's more refined and comfortable, perhaps costing a bit more to buy and run.

My mother's had a C1 for years now It was brand new and I think it's a 57 plate. and I absolutely love it every time I get a chance to drive it I do. Cracking little cars I'd have one anyday. 56mpg on average and not had any problems with it other than the airbag warning light.
