306 hdi windscreen replacement

has any one sourced a 306 hdi 2000 new windscreen from anywhere in the south west or does any one know where you can get genune replacement windscreens, I am only TPFT insurance so glass is not covered and i got qouted 300-400 hundred by Auto glass. i mean WTF.

The big companies will quote a silly amount because they are so used to dealing with insurance only.

I'd phone around a few of the smaller companies in the yellow pages.

I was quoted £600 for an Impreza screen which I got for £100 from one of the independents.

Cheers mate, Phil the general manager of mobile/national windscreens contatced me and got the lot done for 146 inc vat, good company and good service. cheers.

£146 still seems a little steep! Autoglass quoted me £358 for my 106, in the end I got one for £80 inc vat. after ringing just 5 companies.

I thought it was very resonable for the screen with rain sensor, all materials, labour and fitting.
