PH'ers - need some advice.

I have been casually playing since Covid with a set of clubs gifted by a friend (Cleveland TA7 irons with a King Cobra SS350 driver). I been playing/practicing much more consistently this year with an aim to get my handicap below 30.

My question is - at what point do i need new clubs? I have played with more modern clubs, and found some benefits but would there be a point I should switch to newer game improvement irons? Plan would be to get fitted (and probably buy used).

Thanks in advance!

I once owned more than thirty putters.

They all let me down at one time or another.
