k jetronic injection for Lotus Esprit Turbo HCI
Discussion
Ok I am going to explain as simple as possible
When I accelarate smoothly, no problem the motor is giving all the power.
When I accalarate strongly the motor is going well up to 4000tr/mn and after the motor stops... restart and so on
Injectors are news
delco new
"Bougies" are also new
Any Idea??

Hughes,
Pardon moi, but I'm uncertain what 'Bougies' are? Please explain.
Your problem(s) could be many things. First check all electrical connectors for proper connection and all vacuum lines for leaks.
If these are good, I would suspect your overboost switch which shuts off the fuel pump if energized. This would fit with the symptoms you described as would a sticky wastegate which didn't open smartly and cause the overboost switch to trip.
A fairly remote possibility is to look at your intake trunking (the air hose from the airbox to the turbo). These have been known to delaminate inside, clogging the trunking and preventing air from reaching the turbo. It would usually only occur on high boost as you describe and could also be a source of your problem.
Check these things and let me know how it all looks, I will check into some further possibilities. Happy Motoring! ...Jim'85TE

Hey Jim,
What about that wire inside the dizzy? "goes to 4K then stops, starts." Isn't that a clue?

Doc,
Fair call, but the advance should be all well in by 4k. I suspect that if the low tension lead were to blame, it would come on somewhere in the 2k-2.5k range. As I understand it, the Euro model lacks a vacuum advance, so only the centrifugal advance should be available to trigger the fault and that should occur in the range I describe.
K-jetronic isn't really complicated, but it does rely on a miriad of components, vacuum, temp. switches and electro. components. The list of culprits could be quite long, I'm only pointing out the most obvious suspects. If they check out, he'll need to move on down the list. Happy Motoring! ...Jim'85TE
