Hello,
today i've had an accident. An old f******* 190 Mercedes crashed inside my Esprit.
The frontmask got deep scratches and cracks. The front bumper got cracks too.The right wheel is on the outside damaged,so i need a new outer rim.
I hope that there is no serious damage on the front hub, wishbone and steering.
I hope the the insurance of that girl makes no trouble, cause Esprit parts are not cheap in Germany.

Am so sorry to hear of your accident, hope you didn't get hurt. How does insurance work over there? If the person caused the accident and they are insured their insurer pays out? Or your insurer pays for it regardless?. I guess its just such a pain getting it all fixed. Hope you get it all sorted real soon.

Hi,
the insurer of the person that caused the accident have to pay for the whole mess.Including a rental car in the same class, like Esprit, during the time they need for the repair.

Hi,

Hi guys,
after my crash we `ve tried to get all parts in Germany. Good joke!
So we ordered all parts at SJ Sportscars.Steve told us that he can get all parts till 24th of june.He needs only 10 days!!!
So my mechanic and i decided to travel to the UK at 30th of june to get all parts!!!!
SJ has selled now their first lhd steering.:-))
If you got any problem with your Lotus you can ask them. They know at SJ what they are talking about.
Great company and fair prices, not like here in Germany.
Many thanks to SJ Sportscars!

Hey! Now that is pretty cool. Over here we pay out the yaya's and more often than not some dumb a** that hits you does not even have insurance... Yes... they ARE required to have it, but they are only fined if they do not. And the fine goes to the state... not the smashed car's owner. Rental car... get real. not here! You might could haggle for a Yugo or something...

United States.(I love this country - Do Not get me wrong) but there is just no common intelligence here at all. We pay pay pay. We get... a bunch of free loaders that are pist because you have an Esprit and somehow it is your fault they dropped out of school and have to live off the working folks...

Oh well! Enough blabbering on my part!
I hope your Esprit get sorted propperly soon!

Drive topless!!!

Hi,

OUCH! Sucks to be you at the moment !

Seriously though, I sympathize with you and hope the insurance will make it all right. Steve R. @ SJS is fantastic to work with, he'll get you back on track.

But remember, cars are much more easily put back together than people. I'm thankful that neither you or anyone else were injured.

Keep us posted on your progress. Happy Motoring! ...Jim'85TE

Hi there, was thinking of you the other day of how you got on. I have had wonderful dealings with SJ and I am glad you were able to get all your parts together.
So now the task of putting it all back together again. Keep in touch,
Kylie

rentals are the fastest cars out there already..
if a taurus comes back smoking... what would a rented esprit be like...

very amusing thought...

they do rent mustangs sometimes... must cost a set of tires with every rental....

Not with the tyres an American Rental Car company uses. Those tyres are harder than the ones on a Flintstones car.

But it makes the autocross soooooo much fun. Tail sliding? Flat spot? Not a problem. for 50$ Avis "try's harder!" hahahaha...

(just kidding.)

(No. really. I wouldn't do that)
